  [S927] Obituary. IDA CHRISTINE HORNBERGER Funeral services for Ida Christine Hornberger, 87, Worden, were Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Worden. Mrs. Hornberger died Dec. 22, 2003, at Lawrence. She was born April 18,1916, at Perry, Okla., the daughter of Julius and Ida (Gastrock) Ziesch. The family moved to Baldwin City where she attended school. She married Julius Hornberger April14,1940, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Worden. He survives. She was a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, St. John's United Church of Christ, the Baldwin City Garden Club and the Lawrence Autumn Club. Survivors include her husband, one son, Julian Hornberger and his wife, Karon, Lawrence; one daughter, Joyce McEvoy, Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Frieda Primm and her husband, Carl, Olathe; one brother, Arthur Ziesch and his wife, Viva, Baldwin City; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ernest, Herman and Harold Ziesch and one granddaughter, Debbi Heide. Burial was at St. John's Cemetery, Worden.
