Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton, with the Rev. Timothy Hull officiating. Burial will be at Stanwood Cemetery. She was born May 2, 1918, in Wayne County to William and Isa (Pratt) Snurr and married Elmer Smith on Jan. 6, 1937. He survives. She had made her home in Dalton, moving to Orrville two years ago and attended Stanwood Community Church. She enjoyed crocheting, baseball and gospel music. Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Fred (Viola) Smith of Dalton, James (Betty) Smith of Navarre, Karen Gryniewski of Orrville and Ken (Doris) Smith of Massillon; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A sister, Nora Roberts, died previously.
