She was born on August 20, 1921 in Havana, Cuba to the late Salvador and Estela Gamba Juncadella. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Pingel in 1997. She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons- in-law, Gloria M. Horn and her spouse, Michael P. Horn of Dover, DE and Ann M. McNinch and her spouse, Paul L. McNinch of Dover, DE; brother, Salvador Juncadella and his wife, Josesina of Florida; 2 grand children, Steven G. Horn and his wife, Dawn N. Horn of Lewes, DE, Lindsay A. McNinch of Dover, DE; 3 great grandchildren, Chelsea Haggerty, Paige Maria Horn, and Nathan Michael Horn. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Westminster Assisted Living for the love and attention they gave to Maria. Friends may call on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 4-5:30 pm in the TRADER FUNERAL HOME INC., 12 Lotus Street, Dover. Mass will be held on Monday, July 2 at 9 am in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. A private burial will take place at the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
