Ann Helen Busselman was born on August 13, 1907 at Ivanhoe, Minnesota to Herman and Minnie (Vogt) Busselman. She was baptized on October 20, 1907 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Arco, Minnesota and confirmed at the Bethany Elim Lutheran Church in Ivanhoe on August 29, 1920. She attended rural school in Ash Lake Township, and attended Lake Benton
Public School.
She and Charles Fleahman were married on July 19, 1928 at Lake Preston, South Dakota. They lived in Lake Benton, and moved to a farm near Ivanhoe in 1942. They owned and operated a theater for a short time, and along with farming, they began a car and implement business, where Ann did the bookkeeping and office work. Charles passed away on October 14, 1961, after which Ann sold Fleahman Motor Sales. She then began bookkeeping duties at the Ivanhoe Medical Clinic for Dr. Richard Mulder. She also had various part time jobs at the Divine Providence Nursing Home and the Eagle Cafe. Ann was an active member of the Bethany Elim Lutheran Church, served as Vice Chairwoman for the Lincoln County Centennial, Chairwoman for Royal Township, and the Ivanhoe Extension
Club. She was an officer in the Bethany Elim Ladies Aid, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Ann served as 4H leader for 6 years, was a member of the Divine Providence Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and various bridge and pinochle clubs.
She is survived by her daughter; Mrs. Charles (Carol) Frisby of Park Rapids, MN; 2 daughters-in-law:
Irene Fleahman of Ivanhoe, MN. and Patricia Fleahman of Monticello, MN; 11 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren; 1 brother; Fred Busselman and his wife Vivian of Pipestone, Mn and 1 sister: Mrs, Margaret Pittenger of Lake Benton, Mn.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 sons, Harlan and LeRoy.
