- Doris M. Buehler
Doris M. (Boas) Buehler, 76, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at LGH. Her husband, the late James C. Buehler, died on October 7, 1996.
Doris retired from the IRS as a group secretary and most recently from St. Anne's Retirement Community as front desk receptionist.
Born June 3, 1931 on Cabbage Hill, she was the daughter of the late Franklin A. Boas and Esther E. (Spangler) Boas Faul and step-daughter of the late Walter Faul, Sr.
She was a Charter member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Doris was a 1949 graduate of LCHS. She also was a past president of the American Legion Post Auxiliary, Mount Joy and the St. Anne's Retirement Community Auxiliary. Earlier in her life, she was a Girl Scout leader and had served on the LCHS PTA.
Doris enjoyed cookbooks, cooking, crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting, sewing, crafts, QVC and vacationing in Williamsburg, VA.
Surviving is a daughter, Susan M. Buehler, of Lancaster; grandpuppy, "Dickens"; two step-brothers, Walter Faul married to Shirley, of Millersville and Joseph Faul married to Karene, of Albany, NY. She was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin A. Boas, Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be from St. Anne's Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512 on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 10 AM. Interment will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. Friends may view at St. Anne's Retirement Community on Tuesday between 9 and 10 AM. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in memory of Doris to St. Anne's Retirement Community or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
