    BIOGRAPHY: Rev. David W. Sheetz, 77, of Chillicothe, our beloved father and husband, went home to be with his Lord 8:58 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2005 at his residence following an extended illness.
    He was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Ross County, to the late Roy and Garnet Campbelle Sheets. On Oct. 14, 1944, he married the former Imogene A. Scott, who survives.
    Also surviving are a son, Stephen (Sandie) Sheetz, of Chillicothe; daughters, Brenda (William) Gothard, of Circleville, Joyce (James) Lott and Theresa (Matt) Porter, both of Chillicothe, and Denise (Floyd) Detty, of Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Sheets, of Bainbridge, and Danny (Lydia) Sheets, of Rardon; sisters, Florence (Ralph) Wood, of Jackson, Gladys Liebe, of Chillicothe and Annabelle Humon, of S.C.; and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Sue Sheetz; brothers, Donald and James Sheets; and sisters, Nora Robey, Margaret Whitehead and Eva Seymour.
    Rev. Sheetz was a retired minister, having served for over 52 years and worked at Mead Corp. and N & W Railroad. David served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
    He was a member of the New Beginning Outreach Church, 375 S. Watt St., where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 with Pastor Cline McCallister, of Portsmouth, officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Firing Honor Guard. Friends may call at Ware Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
