Frank was born on April 1, 1936, to Roy and Rose (Wetsch) George in Solen, ND. He was raised and educated in Solen. On January 11, 1958, Frank was joined in marriage to his bride, Diane Hatzenbuhler. Frank and Diane continued their life together on their farm in Solen.

In addition to his family, Frank loved farming and ranching. Frank and Diane began working the land and raising cattle, forming the George Ranch. His son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Corky, have continued on as the second generation, and Frank?s granddaughter, Tiffany, has moved back to the ranch to become the third generation rancher. Frank?s love for the land was evident to everyone who knew him. Frank also served his community as Chief of Police and volunteer firefighter in Solen.

Frank had a kind and generous soul. He would never turn anyone away who was in need of help. His unselfishness was seen in the way he spent time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them, whether it be fishing, camping, watching wrestling or attending their sports activities. Frank also enjoyed hunting, butchering and making sausage and playing cards. Since Frank was born on April Fools? Day, he will be remembered as quite a prankster.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his three daughters, Roxie (Donald) Moos, Minot, ND, Connie (Rory) Schlosser and Marcia (Chris) Fleck, Mandan, ND; his son, Brian (Corky) George, Solen; his sister, Fern Froehlich, Mandan; brothers, Rudy, and Luellen (Lena), Mandan, and Arnold (Karen), of Mitchell, SD; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Frank considered his nephew, Jess George, Bismarck, as an adopted son. Frank is also survived by his sweetheart, Grandma Louise Hatzenbuhler, Mandan, and special friends, Dennis and Vonnie Ereth, Bismarck.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father, his infant son, Frank Darwin; his father-in-law Tony Hatzenbuhler, his brother and sister-in-law Jim (Beatrice), his brother-in-law Jacob Froehlich and his sister-in-law Helen George.
