During her younger years, she was a hotel housekeeper in Yankton. Shirley was married to Larry Stoebner on November 5, 1976 at Tripp. She enjoyed reading religious articles, magazines and novels. She loved to play board games, Old Maid, and Solitaire and watch soap operas with her children.
