Feeney officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Frances 4 I Berger brought laughter and joy to many people through her wonderful sense of humor. Friday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a St. Maria verein rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30. Frances C. Froelich was born Aug. 23, 1903, at Mandan, the daughter of Joe and Julia (Emil) Froelich. She was raised in the St. Anthony area and attended Mandan schools. She married Phillip Berger, July 21, 1925, at St. Anthony and they made Mandan their home. Phillip died Aug. 28, 1971. She lived at Liberty Heights in Mandan from 1970 until May of 1991 when she became a resident of Missouri Slope Care Center in Bismarck. She was a member of St. Maria Verein and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Frances brought laughter and joy to many through her wonderful sense of humor. She was known as an excellent cook and loved to crochet. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Frances is survived by one daughter, Cecelia Eckert, Bismarck; three sons and daughters-in-law, Clem and Val, Monroe, Wash., Bob and Jo, Clarkston, Wash., and Gene and Georgia, Fargo; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Magelki, Emma Brady, Rose Leingang, Pauline Beckler and Cecelia Bender, all of Mandan; and one brother, Joe Froelich, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband; and one son, Kenneth.
