On April 10, 1924, in Pleasant Lake, she was born to Otis and Marie (Miller) Kempf. She married Carl Hoffelder in Auburn on May 18, 1946. He survives. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Waterloo, and graduated from Ashley High School in 1942 and Tri-State University in 1944. She was a homemaker and a farm wife. Surviving, in addition to her husband; are two daughters, Margaret English, Fort Wayne, and Patricia Fallis, Greencastle; two sisters, Virginia Garberick, Battle Creek, Mich., and Dortha Reinhart, Butler; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, a brother, Rex Kempf, preceded her in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Waterloo, with Fr. David Carkenard officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterloo. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
