Zahm, 81, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Huntington Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for several years. A resident of 1018 Cherry St., Mr. Zahm had been a merchant at the Erie Shopping Center for many years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he sang in the choir for 50 years, was a Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus, and a veteran of World War I . Mr. Zahm was born Aug. 10, 1894 to Louis and Margaret (Nuck) Zahm. His first marriage was to Mary L. McClanahan who is deceased, and his second marriage was on June 5, 1950 to Mae Eisenhauer, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, John W. Zahm, Huntington and James F. Zahm, Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lacey, Wheaton, IL. and Mrs. Catherine Roberts, Evansville; and 11 grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Marckx-Hart Funeral Home. The recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday evening. More About WILLIAM M.
