  Dorothy Knuchel Dorothy Lucinda Knuchel, 87, formerly of Weirton, W. Va., died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Lochgelly, W. Va. She was born April 25, 1917 in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Russell and Loretta Walters Carle. Dorothy was the kitchen supervisor at the Millsop Community Center in Weirton for many years. She was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church in Weirton and attended the First Christian Church in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, La Verne Knuchel, a son, Roger Knuchel and his wife, Joan, of Byesville, Ohio; a daughter, Darlene Newell and her husband, Don; a sister, Olive Precek, and her husband, William, of Shadyside, Ohio; a brother, Emory Carle and his wife Jean, of Woodsfield, Ohio; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Friday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Kevin Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Disciples of Christ Church, Weirton, W. Va.
