When Anna's sister Theresia (Schwindel) died on 05Novl929(St
Meinrad) her daughter Almeda [bn:28Jull926 (m: Karl Hofmann)] came
to live and grow up with Anna & Vincent.

Vincent liked to drink. By noon he was pretty well loaded.
During the depression Vincent fed his customers on credit and went
into debt and then lost his store. He then worked for his nephew
Stan Lichtefeld as a laborer in the construction business. One time
Vincent had been drinking and fell into a hole at work. Stan let
him go and Anna thought that Stan was unfair.
