arie Anna Prosser
FREMONT: Marie Anna Prosser, 95 of Fremont, OH passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Valley View Healthcare Center.
She was born April 15, 1918 in Niles, MI to Herman and Anna (Nitz) Young. Marie married Francis Prosser, Jr. on May 4, 1944 in St. Joseph, MI and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1976.
She was a member of First United Church of Christ where she sang in the choir. Marie was also a member of the Ballville Township Fire Department Axillary where she was a past President numerous times and the Fremont Lions Club. Marie volunteered for many other organizations. She taught Jazzercise at her church for many years and loved to travel with her dance clubs.
Marie is survived by her children, John Prosser, Fremont, OH, Cynthia (Jim) Smith, Whitefish, MT, Michael (Jennifer) Prosser, Port Clinton, OH; brother, Willard (Ginny) Young, St. Joseph, MI; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis Posser, Jr.; brothers, Mike and Ralph Young.
Visitation: Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First United Church of Christ, 1500 Tiffin Rd., Fremont, OH 43420. Memorial Service: Friday, November 1, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Elaine Bast officiating. Private Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH
