Obituary from the Cleburne Times-Review: Luella Jackson Abt, 93, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007, in Cleburne.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Robert Herzig will officiate. Burial: There will be no burial, as Mrs. Abt's wish was to be cremated. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Abt was born June 16, 1913, on a farm in Blum to James Thomas and Mabel Clair Workman Tucker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star, Blum Chapter, and a former member of Heritage Assembly, Newcomers Club and various bridge clubs. She was a staunch Democrat.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Finis Jackson, on April 22, 1976, and husband of 23 years, Robert A. "Bob" Abt, on Sept. 1, 2002.
Survivors: Her daughters, Nancilu McClellan and husband, Mike, and Jane Mar and husband, Froylan, of Blum; sons, Carl Abt and wife, Delma, of Grandview and Robert Abt of Pittsburgh, Pa.; granddaughter, Alison Balcombe and husband, Jeff; grandsons, Tony Mar, Robert Abt, David Abt, Evan Abt and Stevie Abt; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Trenton and Maegan Balcombe; niece, Virginia Lou Moyer; nephews, the Rev. James Tucker and Sherman Tucker; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
