Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) - September 2, 2002- CLEBURNE -- Robert A. Abt, 86, a retired electrician, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in Burleson.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel in Cleburne. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Robert A. Abt was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Frank J. and Catherine O'Brien Abt. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Service Medal and Victory Medal. He married Florence Boswell in 1942, they had two sons, Robert and Carl. He retired from Westinghouse in 1978, and after the death of Florence, moved to Cleburne. He married Luella Jackson in 1979 and gained two daughters, Jane Mar and Nancilu McCellan. He was preceded in death by mother, father, wife, Florence and sister, Mary.
Survivors: Wife, Luella; sons Robert of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Carl and wife, Delma, of Grandview; daughters and husbands, Jane and Froylan Mar of Blum and Nancilu and Mike McClellan of Arlington; grandchildren, Alison, Robert, David, Tony, Evan snd Steven; great-granddaughter, Kaitlin; brother, Frank; and many nieces and nephews.
