Lenora M. Schiffli, 100, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 03, 2011, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn.
Mrs. Schiffli worked as a cook for the Country Charm Restaurant, Tuttle's Restaurant, and the Green Parrot in Waterloo.
She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in rural Waterloo. She was also a member of the St. Michael's Rosary Society, St. Rose Study Club, and the Harvest House.
She was born Oct. 13, 1911, in Glandorf, Ohio, to Bernard and Martha (Morman) Warnecke.
She married Wilfred Schiffli on May 9, 1939, in the St. John's Catholic Church in Glandorf, Ohio. He died March 23, 1978.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Martha Conrad of Waterloo, Joan and Robert Langhals of Glandorf, Ohio, and Barbara Schiffli of Muncie; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Judy Schiffli of Broken Arrow, Okla., Robert and Lora Schiffli of Waterloo, Larry and Genevia Schiffli of Waterloo, and Herman and Anna Schiffli of Waterloo; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Siefker of Ottawa, Ohio, Mildred Vorst of Kalida, Ohio, and Rosemary Siefker of Ottawa, Ohio; and three sisters-in-law, Teresa Warnecke of Glandorf, Ohio, Helen Warnecke of Glandorf, Ohio, and Lucille Schiffli of Orland.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Recker; and five brothers, Lambert Warnecke, Rudolph Warnecke, Urban Warnecke, Elmer Warnecke, and Thomas Warnecke.
A mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1098 C.R. 39, Waterloo, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the funeral mass. Father David Carkenord will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will also be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with the rosary being recited at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to St. Michael's Catholic Church restoration fund or masses.
