Clarence W. Heinl
Petersburg - Clarence William Heinl, 67, of 17721 Ida-Center Road died yesterday in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, where he had been three days. He had been seriously ill four months.
Friends may call at the Valentine, McNeil and Spencer Funeral Home, Petersburg, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Stanley Bowers of St. Irene's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
The son of John and Mary Heinl, he was born May 7, 1900, in Miller City, Ohio. He married Leota Bamm, May 7, 1941. She preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 1965.
He moved to Petersburg five years ago from Dundee. He was employed by the Monroe Auto Equipment Co. 35 years before his retirement.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Harry W. Bamm Post 72, American Legion, in Dundee.
Surviving are a son, Robert Heinl of Dundee; two daughters, Miss Shirley Heinl at home and Mrs. Evelyn Goss of Petersburg; a brother, Lawrence Heinl of Mendon City, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. William (Viola) Bergmooser of Monroe, Mrs. Edith Harrold of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and Mrs. Eleanor Steffen of Deshler, Ohio; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
