Elbert W. Betts

Elbert W. Betts, 83, of Lewisville, Ohio, died Monday morning, February 12, 1990, at his home.
He was born October 10, 1906, in Monroe County, Ohio, son of the late Charles Franklin and Rosa Crawford Betts. He was a retired employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation, Monroe County Division, and a member of Buchanan Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers: Sara Marie Betts, August 21, 1941; Clarence Harmon Betts, June 21, 1940; George Harold Betts, November 2, 1939; Vearl Otto Betts, December 24, 1944; Woodrow Franklin Betts, November 26, 1922.
Mr. Betts leaves his wife, Zelda Weber Betts; five sons, Darrell Betts of Newark, Ohio; Delmas Betts, Russell Betts and Gary Betts, all of Lewisville, Ohio, and Ronald Betts of Spotsylvania, Virginia; one brother, John Junior Betts of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Lela Betts Christman of Barnesville, Ohio; Louise Betts Morris of Woodsfield and Mary Eva Betts Christman of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p. m. today at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, where the services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 1990, with minister Reverend L. Gene Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery.
