Birth: Apr. 18, 1845, Ukraine Death: Feb., 1903 Anamoose McHenry County North Dakota, USA Immigrated from Odessa, Russia to Canada. Arrived at the port of St John, New Brunswick aboard the ship " SS Lake Ontario". Moritz was accompanied by his wife Helen Wangler and five children. The family traveled west on the Canadian railway system and entered the United States at Neche, North Dakota in January, 1903. Moritz died suddenly about a month after arrival in North Dakota, estimated to be in February, 1903. Place of death was Anamoose, North Dakota. Buried in Strassburg (St Maria) Cemetery located in the SE 1/4 of Section 31, Twp. 152N, Range 72W about 3 miles NE of Selz, ( Between Selz & Esmond) Pierce County, North Dakota (About 30 miles southerly from Rugby, North Dakota).
