Eva was born on Sept. 9, 1915 to Michael and Eva (Braun) Weigel in Zeeland. The eldest of eight children, she was the first to graduate from Bismarck High School with the class of '33.

Eva was a member and office holder of numerous organizations, including North Dakota Republican Women, St. Alexius Hospital Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, Elkettes Lodge No. 1199, Bismarck Country Club and Apple Creek Country Club. Both were avid supporters of St. Mary's Central High School athletics. Eva was a "regular" at the 6:45 a.m. daily Mass at the Cathedral Church, oftentimes waiting for Monsignor Garvin.
She will be remembered fondly by all of her family members, including her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Vicki Stebner, Portland, Ore.; her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Dr. Charles Zemo, Boiling Springs, Penn.; along with her surviving sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Augie Rittenbach, Bismarck, Anne W.
