He had been working in his yard prior to his death and complained of being overheated and shortly after died. He was a son of the = late Herman and Mary Niesz Ackerman. He was born November 9, 1881, at Monroefield, Ohio= , Monroe County. He went to Donora from Ohio in 1907 and = lived there until 1944 when he moved to West Newton, Pennsylvania. He had been retired from 35 years service as a supervisor in the Structural Iron Department at Donora Steel and Wire Works. He is survived by his wife, Anna C. Ludwig Ackerman, one son, Arthur B. Ackerman whose property adjoins= his late fathers, one brother, Henry Ackerman, two sisters, Tillie Seebaugh, and Clara Christman, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral servic= es were held on Thursday afternoon, September 27, 1956, at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Alex L. Black officiating.
