She was born Feb. 27, 1928, near Summerfield, a daughter of the late of the late Elijah D. and Pauline Opal Carpenter. She was a homemaker and attended Calais Church at Calais. Surviving are several cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Weisend. Calling hours will begin at 11 a.m. with services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 Ohio 78 West, Woodsfield, with Pastor Matt Zurowski officiating.
