  [S927] Obituary. Merton (Pee Wee) Kress, age 64, of 90 W. Main Street, Limaville, Ohio passed away at Alliance City Hospital, Tuesday June 4 after a six month illness. He was born in Louisville August 16, 1920 and lived in the area all his life. He was the son of the late John Kress and Erma Haidet. He was also [preceded] in death by a sister, Delores Emplit.He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps during World War II and belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance and VFW #6730 Sebring. He retired in 1983 after 40 years as a Smoker at Homestead Provision.He is survived by his wife, Margaret H. (Patrick) Kress of the home, 1 daughter, Mrs. Mark (Sandra) Haubert of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; 2 sons, Roger and David of Alliance; 3 sisters, Orilla Brahler of Louisville, Mary Carter of Alliance, and Rita Whitman of North Benton; 4 brothers, Richard and Norbert of Alliance, Delmar of Sebring and Francis of Louisville. There are 4 grandchildren.Services were held Friday June 7, 10:30 a.m. at Sharer Sterling Funeral Home in Alliance with Father Frank Carsagna. Burial was in Memorial Park, Alliance. Friends called Thursday evening.
