Myrle Olson, 88, Overland Park, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at Menorah Medical Center. A visitation will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Faith Lutheran Church followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Private family interment on Monday at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Mrs. Olson was born July 12, 1917, to Utley and Louise Desque Reilly in Douglas County, Kan. She graduated from Overbrook High School and attended Washburn College. She lived in Lawrence and Topeka and taught in rural schools in Douglas County until she moved to the Kansas City area. She was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church and served in many capacities there. She is survived by her daughter, Kendra Olson, Melvern; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
