Poulton, age 89, formerly of Temperanceville, died suddenly at her home in Columbus, Wednesday morning, November 15, 1978. She was born in Noble County, the daughter of the late Samuel and Hariett Bordley McDaniel. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church and Rosary Alter Society in Columbus, and of the Catholic Women?s Club at St. Mary?s Church in Temperanceville. She was a retired matron of the Belmont County Children?s Home. Her Husband, Jerome Poulton, preceded her in death in 1939. Also deceased are one son, Charles J., Jr., and a daughter Alice Wallace. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John (Grace) Ward of Lancaster, Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Large, Sr., and Garnet Stuhdreher of Columbus; three sons, Robert of Temperanceville, Anthony of Seneca Lake and Samuel of Cleveland. She leaves 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Clare Poulton of Columbus, wife of the late Dr. James H. Poulton. Friends were received at Maeder Quint Funeral Parlor on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, where a rosary and prayer service was conducted by Fr. William Johnson, pastor of Corpus Christi. She was taken to Barnesville where friends were received at the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home Friday from 2-9. Rosary was recited by Fr. George Goodbout at 7:30. A funeral Mass of Resurrection was conducted Saturday morning at 11 o?clock at St Mary?s Church, Temperanceville by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Massucci of Steubenville. Interment was in St. Mary?s Cemetery,The pall bearers were eight of her grandsons Robert Poulton, Jerry Poulton, Thomas Large, Bill Graves???
