Obituary - Barnesville Enterprise: Temperanceville Man Found Dead at Home - Augustine C. (Gus) Hughes, a farmer of the Temperanceville community, was found dead in his home shortly after noon last Friday. Death had been caused by a heart attack. Mr. Hughes was the son of Frank and Sarah Gallagher Hughes. He was born September 21, 1893, and in 1916 he was married to Rose Poulton who died in 1922. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Surviving are one son, Harold J. Hughes of Temperanceville, one brother, Joseph of Quaker City, two sisters, Mrs. Rose Burkhart of Temperanceville and Mrs. Mary Forbes of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and five grandsons. His mother preceded him in death only three months ago. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:00 in the morning at St. Mary?s Church, conducted by Rev. Fr. Schwendeman. Burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery, Barnesville.
