Frances Tuttle
Frances Pulford Tuttle, a native of Mississippi and a longtime resident of Mobile, died Friday at an area nursing facility. She was 84.
Tuttle attended Belhaven College, was a homemaker and later served for 18 years as an administrative assistant to the dean of the College of Business at the University of South Alabama. A member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, Tuttle formerly was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where she taught kindergarten Sunday school for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Tuttle Canady of Columbia, S.C., and Anna Tuttle McMurphy of Mobile; one sister Virginia Pulford Parker of Jackson, Miss.; one brother, Stafford Pulford of Pensacola; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway. A graveside service will follow at noon in Pine Crest Cemetery.
