Mercedes H. (Skeeter) HarenMercedes H. (Skeeter) Haren, age 87, passed away Sunday, June 6 at Rose Lane Nursing Home. She was born August 15, 1916 in Woodsfield, Monroe County, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late, Julius H. and Clara T. (Biedenbach) Haren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sue in 1973; sisters, Regina Wittenbrook, Alice Affolter and Ruth Tibe; and brothers, Roger and Dale Haren. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Mark Mitchell; granddaughter and husband, Richelle and Dennis Sanderson; and great grandchildren, Rachael, Devin, Drek and Dylan Sanderson, all of North Canton; sisters, Mrs. Laura Lasick of Canton, Mrs. Margaret Hamad of Tallmadge, and Mrs. Deloris Neuman of North Canton; 27 nieces and nephews and their families. She retired from the Hoover Company in 1977 with 36 years of service, where she packed parachutes during World War II. She resided in Rose Lane after residing with her daughter and granddaughter from 1996 to 2001. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John?s the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ronald Klinger officiating and be buried next to her daughter, Brenda Sue at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Canton. Friends may call at the Karlo & Sons Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton on Wednesday, June 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. Let me always remember the refreshing gift of a walk in the woods, a day by the sea, a moment of solitude.
