Forrest Krill
COLDWATER, Mich. Forrest S. Krill, 95, Coldwater, died Friday, July 1, 2005, in his home after a brief illness.
He was born May 15, 1910, in Williams Countys Center Township, the son of Henry and Orpha (Thomas) Krill. In 1936, he married Frances Goebel, who died in 1985. In 1991, he married Shirley Meyer, who survives. He was engaged in farming in Bryan until his retirement in 1966 and then owned and operated Krills Kozy Korner at North Lake near Coldwater. In 1977, he purchased a laundromat in Edgerton, which he operated until 1986. He attended Coldwater Nazarene Church and was a past member of the Knights of Pythias.
Also surviving are two sons, Frederick of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dennis, Waterloo, Ind.; four daughters, Joyce Shaffer and Jeanne Warner of Bryan, Shirley Beal of Whitehouse, and Elaine Poorman, Pottstown, Pa.; a stepson, David Meyer, Sherwood, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Downs, Farmington, Mich.; a brother, Henry, Bryan; a sister, Ruby Newbauer, New Haven, Ind.; and 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, three sisters, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, with Pastor Robert Tharp officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
