Good evening Ursula,
It has been a few weeks since we emailed. I have some information for the
website. I will ask for your forgiveness upfront because I tend to bounce
around in my information. Some of my information that I can provide will
fill in some of the blanks on the website.
With that said, I will begin.
My mom's father, Fred Joseph Buchs was married twice. His first wife was
Hasel Marie Lirot (born September 5, 1910...died October 23, 1930). They
were married June 12, 1929. They have one child together, her name is
Rosella Mae Buchs (nickname Toots). She was born April 3, 1930. She
(Toots) married Robert E. Dunlap (went by Bob) on October 23, 1947.
Toots and Bob have (2) children, Perry Dunlap and Christy Dunlap. I have
included a copy of Bob's death notice.
After the death of his first wife, Fred married Hasel's sister Bertha Arno
Lirot (born December 21, 1912...she went by Arno) on November 27, 1932.
Fred and Arno had (8) children (in the order below).
. Barbara Joyce Buchs (born April 15, 1935..nickname.Bootsie). She
married Richard Lee Savage (born December 24, 1932.nickname.Dick) on
November 26, 1954. They have (3) sons. Kirk (married Eileen), Brent
(married Donna), and Mark (married Lisa Metz)
. Richard Lavon Buchs (born August 17, 1936..nickname..Dick) He
married Carol Peters (born May 25, 1937) on October ??, 1958. They have a
daughter Tanya Buchs (she married Chuck Barnes) and a son Todd A. Buchs
(he married Renee Pickett..June 14, 1986). Dick and Carol divorced. Dick
then married Nancy Clark. They had no children together. I have included a
copy of Dick's death notice.

20, 2012) on July 3, 1965. They have (3) children. Robert (married Lisa),
Troy (married Lesile), and Jodi (married Jeff Landel)
. TWIN . Dennis Lee Buchs ..born June 29, 1944..died February 2,
1945
. Rozetta Fay Buchs (born September 18, 1948..nickname..Fay). She
married John Grine (born May 19, 1949) on September 26, 1970. They have
(3) children. Tim (married Cynthia English), Matt (married Nikki Crites),
Penny (married Mike Shreve). Fay and John divorced. She did not remarry.
Now some information about my family. My name is Brian David Fritch. I was
born in Hicksville Ohio on May 22, 1966. I married Cynthia Yvonne Bell
(born on July 24, 1968 in Montpelier Ohio..goes by Cindy) on August 20,
1988 in Edon Ohio. We live in a rural area near Stryker Ohio.
We have (3) children.
. TWIN...Garrett Andrew Fritch (born April 26, 1994 in Bryan
Ohio). He is a freshman at Trine University in Angola Indiana
. TWIN...Rebecca Lynn Fritch (born April 27, 1994 in Bryan Ohio).
She is a freshman at Denison University in Granville Ohio
. Andrew David Fritch (born November 9, 1998 in Bryan Ohio) He is
an 8th grader at Stryker
About my dad, Alonzo Aloysius Fritch Jr. He was born October 28, 1932 at
Melbern Ohio. His father is Alonzo Aloysius Fritch Sr (born January
18,1902, died December 16, 1984). His mother is Harriet Mae Everetts (born
November 21, 1905, died May 26, 1992). They were married February 11,
1930.
About wife's parents. Her father is Kenneth Howard Bell, born September 1,
1936. Her mother is Helen Yvonne Zulch, born May 6, 1936. They were
married December 14, 1953

Northwest Ohio lost a cherished family member and friend on February 10, 2011, when Richard ?Dick? Buchs, retired Williams County Chief Deputy Sheriff of 27 years, passed away in Gulf Breeze, Florida, at the age of 74. Richard was a Bryan resident for 36 years before moving to Archbold in 1995 to serve as Chief Deputy Sheriff of Fulton County until his retirement in 2005. Richard was born in Edgerton, Ohio, on August 17, 1936, and graduated from Edgerton High School in 1954. He served his country in the USMC from 1955 to 1959 during which time he was based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and stationed in Hawaii for two years. He went on to complete 18 years in the U.S. Army Reserves in Unit B Company 983rd Engineer Battalion (CBT HVY). The highlights of this time were two humanitarian assistance deployments to Honduras and Guatemala. He retired as a Staff Sergeant. Richard also was a 1977 graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He was a member of the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, The FBI National Academy Associates, the Republican National Committee, The Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio and the Florida Sheriff?s Association. Richard is survived by his wife Nancy Clark-Buchs of Gulf Breeze, Florida; son Colonel Todd A. (Renee) Buchs of Fort Hood, Texas; daughters, Tanya (Chuck) Barnes of Bryan, Sabrina Bell of Edgerton, Julie Clark (David) Robinson of Hudson, Ohio and Kristen (Edward) Brown-Sanders of Gulf Breeze, Florida; sisters Barbara ?Bootsie? (Richard) Savage of Hicksville, Rozetta ?Fay? Grine of Bryan, Rosella ?Toots? Dunlap, Nancy (Alonzo Jr.) Fritch and Donna (Bill) Siebenaler of Edgerton. His ten grandchildren include Austin and Alexie Buchs of Fort Hood, Texas; Holly Barnes of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Tara Barnes and Josh Giesige of Bowling Green, Ohio; Nate Giesige and Shauna Wright of Edgerton, Reid and Jena Robinson of Hudson, Ohio; and Jamison Sanders of Gulf Breeze, Florida. His great grandchildren are Jonathan, Kaylin, Laynee, Lola, Ava, Whitney and Amelia. Richard also leaves behind his beloved Yorkie, Jazz. Richard, a dedicated ?people person?, will be also be missed by a network of law enforcement and military friends, as well as his neighborhood community in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Preceding Richard in death were his parents Fred Joseph and Bertha Arno Buchs; brothers Denny & Louis Buchs, sister Patricia Buchs, grandson Todd Anthony Buchs II and granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Brown. A scripture service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24 at Saint Mary?s Catholic Church in Edgerton. A law enforcement and military tribute will follow at the Maple Grove cemetery. A celebration of Richard?s life was held on February 15 in Gulf Breeze, Florida. The family wishes to thank the many friends from Northwest Ohio for the outpouring of love and support they sent during Richard?s brief illness. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial donations may be made in memory of Richard Buchs to the Cops with Kids Fund/FOP 181, Bryan Police Department, 103 North Beech Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506.

Richard Buchs 1936 - 2011
Richard Buchs passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011. A dedicated 'people person,' Richard will be sorely missed by family, friends and neighbors alike.
He was born and raised in Edgerton, Ohio, and after a career in law enforcement and military service retired in Gulf Breeze in 2005. His retirement was filled with fishing, bike riding, workouts at Gulf Breeze Aerobics and Fitness and enjoying the many local restaurants that the area has to offer.
Richard is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy Clark-Buchs; son, Colonel Todd A. Buchs of Fort Hood, Texas; daughters, Tanya (Buchs) Barnes of Ohio, Kristen Brown-Sanders of Gulf Breeze, Julie Robinson and Sabrina Bell, also of Ohio; ten grandchildren and his beloved yorkie, Jazz. Richard also enjoyed the love of five sisters and several nieces and nephews.
His brothers, Denny & Louis Buchs; sister, Patricia Buchs; grandson, Toddy Buchs and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Brown (of Gulf Breeze) preceded him in death.
Richard served his country in the USMC from 1955 to 1959. During which time he was based out of Camp Lejuene, North Carolina and was stationed in Hawaii for two years. He also completed 18 years in the U.S. Army Reserves in Unit B Company 983rd Engineer Battalion (CBT HVY). The highlights of this time were two humanitarian assistance deployments to Honduras and Guatemala. He retired as a Staff Sergeant. Richard's law enforcement career included 27 years as Chief Deputy Sheriff of Williams County (Ohio); he then held the sheriff's position during an election transition period. He then served as Chief Deputy Sheriff in Fulton County (Ohio) for 13 years. Richard also was a 1977 graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
A celebration of life for Richard will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Gulf Breeze Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive. Another service and the burial will be held in Ohio the following week.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Soe Maunglay and the dedicated staff at The Woodlands, Dr. Bray, Dr. Floyd and also Jackie of Genteva Home Health.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial donations may be made in memory of Richard Buchs to the Sarah Elizabeth Brown Memorial Scholarship, Gulf Breeze High School, 675 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, Florida 32561.
He's buried in; Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Williams County, Ohio
