YAKIMA - Herman P. Miller, 81, of Yakima, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 29, 1925 in Taylor, North Dakota to Joseph and Anna (Dauenhauer) Miller. Herman served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Navy diver. He worked over 50 years in the concrete business, owning Miller Concrete in 1975 and retired in 1986. He continued to work side jobs until February, 2006. Herman was a member of St. Paul Cathedral, VFW, American Legion and the Eagles. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and baking. His passion in life was concrete. ...

Alan, he knows you will make him proud.He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Hunt of Yakima, grandchildren, Cindy (Dennis) Jensen of Yakima, and Mark (Grace) Blankenship of Marysville,WA; three great-grandchildren, Erika and Mark Blankenship, Jr., and Emily Aragon; two sisters, Shirley (Russ) Young of Kansas City, MO, Agnes (Joe) Heilman of Myrtle Creek, OR, and brothers, Chris (Mary) Miller of San Leandro, CA and Raphael (Mabel) Miller of Rio Rancho, NM.He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Virginia Miller on October 2, 1977 and Fern Miller on November 28, 2000; four sisters, Margaret Sattler, Veronica Sattler, Rose Lagervall and Anna Alioto, and two brothers, Edward Miller and Joseph Miller.Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday, 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.Vigil services will be Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, December 15, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
