Fritz Ricer, aged 72 years, died suddenly at his home in the southern part of town Wednesday evening of last week fom heart failure. Mr. Ricer had been in his usual health and had been busy during the day, and was sitting in front of the fire reading, while Mrs. Ricer was preparing supper. she noticed the paper fall from his hands and fearing that it would catch fire, went to him when he fell over and would have fallen from his chair had she not caught him. Mr Ricer was a well known respected man, and leaves many friends who sympathize the bereaved companion and five children, three sons and two daughters who survive him. He also leaves to mourn his death , three brothers, Jacob of Baker Ridge, Tony of woodsfield and Charles of Ozark and one sister, Mrs Louis Sulsberger of Woodsfield. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at two o'clock conducted ny Rev. Knipping of the Evangelical Church of which the deceased was a member. Internment was in Oaklawn cemetery. Frederick Ricer was born in New York, NY, 30 March 1847 and died 19 February 1919. He was married to Frances E. Addis, May 9 1868. To this union was born eight children, six boys and two girls. Three have preceeded him to the great beyond. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and five children, edward of Bellaire, and Mrs. Henry Hughes, Jacob, Fred and Mrs. John Horseman all of Woodsfield.
