Brooks, 94, of Wooster, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at West View Manor Nursing Home, Wooster. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Apple Creek Cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 7-9 at the funeral home. Those who wish may make contributions to Wooster Township Fire Department & Rescue Squad, 1917 Millersburg Road, Wooster 44691. Myrtle was born Jan. 22, 1912, in Wooster to John Henry and Alma (Badger) Sigler and married Cecil W. Brooks on July 27, 1933. He died Nov. 20, 1991. She had worked at the former Wooster Food Market for many years and had been a sales clerk at Freedlander's. She was a member of First Church of God, where she had taught Sunday school, and was a former member of Community Ladies Aide for 60 1/2 years. Surviving are children, Dana W. Brooks, Larry W. Brooks and Judy K. Hill, all of Wooster; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Frances Zitty of Warsaw and Mildred Luke of Wooster. In addition to her husband, an infant son, Donald, a grandson and brothers Amos, Warren "Bud," Roy, Arden and Walter "Abe" Sigler, died previously.
