FREDERICK S. GEE, 86, of Auburn, died on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at DeKalb Health. Born Jan. 9, 1926, at Coburn Corners, St. Joe, he was the son of the late Fred and Sylvia Gee. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving in the Philippine campaign. He had worked at Dana Corporation for 43 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loyal Order of Moose Auburn Lodge 566 and American Legion Post 178 Garrett. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jonette Gee of Auburn; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Thomas Cook of Butler; sister, Jane Koch of Sebring, Fla.; guardian son, Robert (Laura) Long of Auburn; grandsons, Brian (Melissa) Gee of Fort Wayne, Aaron (Janie) Long and Brett Long, both of Auburn; granddaughters, Melanie (Edwin) Colon-Medina of North Carolina and Lisa (Tim) Huffman of Fort Wayne; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Gee, Brody Gee, Miranda Long, Sawyer Maldeney, Braeden Huffman, Geoffrey Long, Owen Long, and Brady Long. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle Gee, in 1996; brothers, Wayne Gee and Charles Gee; and sisters, Clarise Tilghman and Betty Pate. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, with visiting one hour prior, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 E. Seventh St., Auburn. The Rev Andrew Nazareth officiating. Visitation also from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Pinnington-McComb Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main St., Auburn, with Rosary recited at 8 p.m. Monday.
