Short, age 59, the former Madeline Gay Fabacher, who passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her residence in Maurice. Survivors include her loving husband, Deanie Ray Short; son, Todd Fabacher; three granddaughters, Alexus, Paige and Sadie; one grandson, Jaden; one great grandson, Elijah; four step-daughters, Noah, Lilly, Emma and Catlyn; four sisters, Angela Fabacher, Dot Fabacher, Theresa Ann Fabacher and Brenda Fabacher; three brothers, Clarence Fabacher, Jr., Mike Fabacher and Marshal Fabacher; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one son, Brooks Fabacher; her parents, Clarence Fabacher, Sr. and the former Theresa Hollier; three brothers, EJ, Randy and Keith Fabacher; and two sisters, Emily Fabacher and Lucille ?Tattie? Suire. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The family requests visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time on Tuesday. Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.
