Bertha Arno Buchs(1912- 2004) EDGERTON - Bertha Arno Buchs, 91, a lifelong resident of Edgerton, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton, where she had been a resident the past three years.Born Dec. 21, 1912, at Williams County, to Ethel (Divert) and Ambrose Lirot, she married Fred J. Buchs on Nov. 28, 1933, in Edgerton, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1993.She had worked for several area factories and the former Perry's Restaurant. She was also a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edgerton.Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Rosella) Dunlap of Edgerton, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Savage of Hicksville, Mrs. Alonzo (Nancy) Fritch of Edgerton, Mrs. William (Donna) Siebenaler of Edgerton and Fay Grine of Bryan; a son, Richard (and wife, Nancy) Buchs of Archbold; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Sechler of Edgerton; and a brother, Richard Lirot of Defiance.Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; a daughter, Patricia Buchs; two sons, Lewis D. and Dennis L. Buchs; two brothers, Harold and Raymond Lirot; two sisters, Emma McCord and Hazel Buchs; and a great-grandson, Todd Buchs II.Private services will be held Friday in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Father Thomas Oedy to officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. There will be no visitation.Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic School, Edgerton.
