  [S927] Obituary. Florence M. Sanders, 86, died at 7:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home. Born May 4, 1922, in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Hazelwonder) Gress Sr. She married Richard L. "Dick" Sanders June 30, 1941, in St. Charles, Mo., and he survives. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Kampsville American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Richard J. (Julie) Sanders of Coweta, Okla.; daughter, Mary Beth (Doug) Fox of Hamburg; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Sanders of Cimming, Ga.; four grandchildren, Sandy Sanders-McNabb, Beth Pruitt, Hannah and Lisa Fox; seven great-grandchildren, Amy, Sarah, Laura, Austin, Meghan, Gavin and Torrie; two brothers, Alfred (Marsha) Gress of Hardin and Glen (Janie) Gress of Fieldon; two sisters, Millie (Larry) Sebastian of Jerseyville and Loretta Droege, also of Jerseyville; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronnie Sanders Jr.; a grandson, Jimmy Sanders; and three brothers, John, Louis and Joseph Gress Jr., and a sister, Theresa Burris. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Hanks-Gress Funeral Home in Hardin. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Indian Creek Church of Christ in Hamburg. The Rev. Will Perkins will officiate. Burial will be at Indian Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Calhoun Ambulance Service.
