Former Lewis County(Washington) resident Ruth L. Fyock died at the age of 83 Friday, Jan. 12, in Edmonds.Born May 15, 1917, to Elmer and Leona (Murphy) Bennett, she grew up in the Lewis County area, graduating from Centralia High School, where she met her future husband, Ford.After graduating from Centralia College, she and her husband moved to Bremerton until the end of World War II, when they moved to Seattle.She was active in the Ronald United Methodist Church; Northwest Hospital Guild; Lady Lions Club; and Shoreline Senior Activity Center. She loved visiting the ocean.Preceding her in death were her husband, who died in 1984, and her daughter, Sandra Stuart, who died in 1995.Survivors include her son, Robert of Woodinville; her sister, Opal Mohr of Centralia; and two grandsons.Remembrances may be donations to Shoreline Senior Activity Center, 18560 First N.E., Shoreline, Wash. 98155.Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Washelli, Seattle.---A graveside service for Ruth L. Fyock will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle. A reception for her family and friends will follow at Ballinger Pointe Condominium Clubhouse, 23005 Lakeview Drive, Mountlake Terrace.
