Rita Kaib
KAIB, Rita T. Poulton, 90 of National Road, Wheeling, W.Va., died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in Wheeling Hospital.
Born in Woodsfield, Ohio on August 27, 1914, Rita was the daughter of the late Charles and Ann Marie Letzelter Poulton.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove; and a retired Clubhouse Hostess at Wheeling Downs and Waterford Park.
In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kaib, in 1963; her brother, Edmund Poulton; and three sisters, Helen Alig, Mildred Poulton and Mary K. Gotard.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann Kaib of Wheeling; two sons, John R. Kaib and his wife, Nancy, of Sun Lakes, Ariz. and H. Thomas Kaib and his wife, Shirley, of Lakewood, Ohio; six grandchildren, Scott Kaib and his wife, Glori, of Strongsville, Ohio, Maria Loosei of Steubenville, Ohio, Donald Kaib and his wife, Kelly, of Corrales, New Mexico, Brian Kaib of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Dr. Susan McCartan and her husband, Anthony, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Cristi, Nicole and Jamie Kaib of Strongsville, Ohio, Nathanial Kaib of Corrales and Megan and Sara McCartan of Scottsdale; a niece, Cathy Schmoll and her husband, John, of Rockville, Md.; two nephews, Charles Gotard and his wife, Joyce, of Mount Airy, Md and Richard Alig and his wife, Patty, of Wauseon, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove on Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove with Fr. James LaCrosse as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
