- Doris C. Hunt, 71
DENTON, Md. - Doris C. Hunt of Denton died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in Ruxton Health of Denton. She was 71.
Mrs. Hunt was born in Denton, daughter of the late James Ferdinand Cheezum and Ann Margaret Baker Cheezum Grogan and stepdaughter of Roy Grogan. She had lived in Denton most of her life.
She was a graduate of St. Michaels High School, class of 1951, in St. Michaels.
She was owner/operator of the Double Dip in Denton for 14 years until 1990, after which she became a patient sitter.
Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Caroline Chapter of the AARP, and the Sail and Trail Camping Club, and was also a member of the Denton Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty C. Seese.
She is survived by her husband, J. Sam Hunt of Denton; a son, John S. Hunt Jr. of Denton; a daughter, Susan Madison of Laurel, Del.; a granddaughter, Jessica Hunt of Laurel; and two great-grandchildren, Ja-ron Hunt and Daniya Dashiell.
Friends may from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the Church of the Brethren, South Seventh Street, Denton.
Burial will be in Denton Cemetery.
