Adeline Irene (Hatke) Hasser obit
Adeline Irene (Hatke) Hasser, 78, of Earl Park, died Monday, May 15, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
Born March 21, 1927, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Frank and Luetta (Kochert) Hatke Jr., both deceased. She married Francis L. Hasser Nov. 27, 1948; he preceded her in death Oct. 10, 2003.
Mrs. Hasser was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Lafayette. She had been a resident of Earl Park since 1948. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Kentland, the St. Joseph Women?s Society of Kentland, the St. John Baptist Rosary Society of Earl Park and the Legion of Mary.
Survivors include three daughters, Marcella (Mrs. Ed) Frey of Cedar Grove, Sister M. Rose, O.S.F., of Mishawaka and Monica (Mrs. Mike) Diedam of Kentland; three sons, Jerome Hasser of Lafayette and Thomas Hasser (and wife Pam) and William Hasser, both of Earl Park; three sisters, Mildred (Mrs. John) Schluttenhofer of Fowler, Ruth (Mrs. John) Hicks of Lafayette and Arlene Budreau of Earl Park; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and one grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Kentland. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Earl Park. Visitation will be from 4:15 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMullan-Stitz Funeral Home in Kentland, with a Rosary service at 4 p.m.
