Born in Parkersburg, W. VA. on March 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James I. and Effie (Pfalzgraf) McDonald. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a telephone operator for the Underwater Sound Lab. In her earlier years, she was also active as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. Surviving is one daughter, Melody A. Bromley of Jewett City; two sons, Thomas J. O'Connor of Maine and Michael J. O'Connor of Norwich with whom she made her home; one sister, Helen Ruth McDonald of Parkersburg, W. VA; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James J. O'Connor in 1953 and a grandson, John M. Bromley in 2006. Visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich.
