A. Patrick Zwick
Age 85, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Dec. 17, 2010, at his home. He was born March 17, 1925 in Harrisburg, Ohio, to Herman and Florence (Gulling) Zwick. Patrick joined the Army after his junior year at Louisville High School. He was a veteran of the Army Special Forces during WWII receiving a Bronze Star for courage during the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he went on to the University of Cincinnati where he received a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the state of Ohio and as a private consultant.
He is survived by his loving wife Joy (Schumacher) Zwick; granddaughters Mindy (Ryan) Hortman and Katie (Justin) Shrock; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Roseanne), and Tom (Marilyn) of Louisville, Mark (Louise) of Houston, Texas; sisters, Eunice (Bernie) Ott of Massillon, Rosemary (Bill) Phillips of South Carolina, and Barbara (Marvin) Haren of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his son James Patrick Zwick; his parents and sisters and their spouses, Rita (Maury) France, Mary (Robert) Schrader, Eileen (Ed) Clapper, and Jean (Thomas) Kirtley.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, which Patrick assisted in designing.
