Born Jan. 20, 1923 in Barnesville, Ohio, the son of the late George Clem and Marjorie (Mahoney) Burkhart.A member of Main St. United Methodist Church, he was an Army Veteran of World War II and was retired from General Motors in Mansfield.He was preceded in death by by four brothers: Jennings, Robert, Joseph and Jackie Burkhart; and a sister, Mary Frances Bishop.He is survived by a brother, Thomas (Jean) Burkhart of Zanesville, Ohio; a sister, Sarah Milhoan of Tallmadge and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Tuesday at Campbell - Plumly - Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville with Rev. Tom Detline officiating. Burial in Crestview Cemetery. Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County VFW Council.
