Eugene Francis Friedly
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. ? Eugene Francis Friedly died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at his son?s home in Kaiser, Mo. He was 83.
Mr. Friedly was born in Versailles, Mo., to the late Conrad Adam and Audria Frances Arnold Friedly. In 1941, he moved with his first wife to Andover, N.J., where they worked as dairy farmers.
He returned to Missouri in 1957 with his second wife. He worked as an officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City for 23 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Jefferson City.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Helen Gail Berkstresser Friedly and Thelma Fisher Friedly; and two grandchildren, Andrew Charles ?Andy? Wagner and Veronica Nicole ?Roni? Wagner.
Survivors include three daughters, Myrna F. Wagner of Vicksburg, Audria F. Friedly of California, Mo., and Tanya F. Parkes of Latham, Mo.; three sons, Gary G. Friedly of Springfield, Mo., David W. Friedly of Kaiser and Rodger C. Friedly of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Ina Burton F. Cook of Paragould, Ark., and Ada Chlorine Friedly of Versailles; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Services were at 11 a.m. Jan. 11 at Freeman Chapel in Jefferson City with the Revs. Lowell Perkins and Van Mitchell officiating. Entombment followed at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
