Sophia A. Kindelberger

Sophia A. Kindelberger, 91, of Washington, formerly of Donnan Avenue, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 20, 1916, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of Nicholas and Caroline Urbanczyk Bawell.
She was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, Washington.
She attended Meadow Lands School and was a graduate of Riggs Lemar Institute of Barbering and Beauty Culture.
She operated a beauty shop in Meadow Lands prior to her marriage and was a nutritionist for Ohio Valley Medical Center, retiring in 1960.
She loved to do needlework, but most of all, she loved being with her family.
On June 27, 1946, in Denver, Colo., she married Irwin W. Kindelberger, formerly of Warwood, W.Va., spent several years in Boise, Idaho, and later returned to Warwood. Her husband died September 16, 1960.
In the late 1970s, Mrs. Kindelberger returned to Meadow Lands to care for her mother.
Surviving are a brother, Edwin Bawell; a sister, Emily Narsavage both of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Walter Bawell.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. Services will be private. Private interment will be in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, 605 Hewitt Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
