Philomena Burkhart Mrs. Philomena Burkhart, 85, lifelong resident of Miltonsburg community died in Ohio Valley Hospital, Wheeling, WVa, Saturday evening. She fell about three weeks ago and fractured a hip. Born February 28, 1870 in the Miltonsburg community, she was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church. She leaves two sons and two daughters: Isadore and Mary Burkhart of the home, Otto of Woodsfield, R.D.3, and Mrs. Emmett Carrick of Canton; two brothers, Nicholas and Jacob Burkhart of Lewisville, RD 1. The Rosary will be recited at the Schumacher Funeral Home Monday at 8 p.m. The high Mass of Requiem will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. John's Church at Miltonsburg. Fr. Robert Brown will officiate in the absence of the pastor, Fr. Donald Nuss. Burial will be made in Oaklawn Cemetery.
