Floyd County Esther Ruth Braeutigam 89; retired teacher Funeral services for Esther Ruth Braeutigam, 89, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at St. Marks United Church of Christ, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at her residence. She was a native of New Albany, a retired school teacher with the New Albany Floyd County School System with over 40 years of service, a member of Eastern Star of New Albany 340, Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Gamma Chi (girls of New Albany High 1932), Friends of Fairview Cemetery Association and St. Marks United Church of Christ. Survivors include cousins and a host of friends. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at St. Marks United Church of Christ in New Albany. Pyke-Calloway Funeral Service, 1217 E. Spring St., New Albany, is in charge of arrangements.
