inda S. Wade, 67, of Evansville, passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born July 11, 1948, in Evansville to the late Russell J. and Olivia K. (Memmer) Crabtree.
She was a beautician and had a shop at her home for many years. She was a dog lover, loved yard sales and was a wonderful cook, who made the best chili, bean and vegetable soups.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Steven “Reno” Wade and her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon Leathers of Evansville; brother, Roy (Cindy) Crabtree of Evansville; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her dog, Sassy.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:00AM, Friday, May 27, 2016, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., officiated by Father Ted Temple, with burial in St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may visit 2:00 to 7:00PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the funeral home, with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00PM.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Anthony Stephens of OHA and his staff, Deaconess Unit 3500, and her friends Debbie Lamann and Nancy Tinsley for their love and wonderful care.
